Eloping Ceremony

Eloping Ceremony

An Elopement is a quick and private form of marriage, with few (if any) guests.
This style of ceremony suits couples who wish to marry with only two witnesses present.

Maggie will help you create a romantic and personal
The Elopement Ceremony Casuarinaoccasion, focusing purely and simply on the love between bride and groom. Simple, yet meaningful.

Elopements are commonly defined as “marrying unbeknown to family and friends”. They are often requested by couples wanting to avoid the “fuss” or expense of a standard wedding ceremony. Or they may be requested by those intending to have an overseas ceremony where it is unlikely to be legally recognised in Australia.

Maggie also assists couples from overseas, wishing to get married on our iconic beach locations or in our Australian hinterland landscape.

The Elopement Ceremony may be short and sweet but it will have genuine meaning and sincerity. Maggie can meet to discuss exactly what you want for your elopement ceremony. Arrangements can also be made via phone and email to keep things simple.

Unlike a Registry Office wedding, Maggie offers complete choice over the style, time and location of your special wedding. Please yourselves, that’s the joy of eloping!

Enjoy a beautiful and intimate elopement designed especially just for the two of you and avoid the stress and expense of a traditional wedding.

Couples wishing to elope in should consider the following:

  • Two witnesses over the age of 18 are required to attend the ceremony – please speak to Maggie if you need assistance arranging this.
  • A court shortening of the minimum notice period (one calendar month) for a marriage can be applied for, but only under extraordinary circumstances.
